In Conversation with MG Motor About Windsor EV

The Windsor EV has created excitement in the market with MG’s innovative pricing strategy which allows buyers to purchase the vehicle and battery separately

The MG Windsor EV bookings are now underway at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The electric crossover was launched last month with the industry-first BaaS. It refers to Battery-as-a-Service. In this method, the buyers can pay only for the car upfront and rent the battery at Rs 3.5 per km. Depending on the usage, owners can pay monthly rentals to MG. The aim is to reduce the financial burden at the time of the purchase since cost is the single biggest hurdle in mass EV adoption. Having said that, if budget is not an issue, you can buy the vehicle with a battery straightaway as well.

MG Windsor EV Bookings Open

The bookings are open now and the deliveries are slated to commence starting October 12, 2024. For bookings, potential customers can either visit their nearest MG dealerships or use the MG India website. The prices with the battery range from Rs 13.50 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, if you wish to utilize the BaaS route, the costs are between Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Additionally, you will need to pay Rs 3.5 per km every month. There are other battery rental programs as well. Hence, you can choose a plan that suits your applications and the needs.
