New Skoda Octavia RS Makes India Debut at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

The much-anticipated 4th-generation Skoda Octavia RS has finally been showcased at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in New Delhi. For the uninitiated, RS is the performance division of Skoda. In fact, we have had a limited number of Octavia RS cars in India in its previous generation as well. Impressively, they flew off the shelves within no time. Due to the demand and import duty concerns, the Czech carmaker always brings it in limited numbers. Therefore, it is clear that this will be the case with this new Skoda Octavia RS too. Skoda Octavia RS Revealed at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025

The exterior of the latest Skoda Octavia RS oozes a sporty vibe. At the front, it gets striking LED DRLs integrated inside the matrix LED headlamps with an aggressive grille in the middle finished in gloss black. The trademark RS badge is there on the grille as well. Down below, the contoured bumper with aero intakes on the extreme edges looks enticing. The side profile consists of elegant alloy wheels, prominent wheel arches, black side pillars and sharp creases. Concluding the exterior design is the sloping roofline towards the rear. It contains a shark fin antenna, a boot-lid mounted spoiler, split-LED taillamps connected via a thin strip, and a sporty bumper. All in all, it is bound to make the heads turn.

Skoda Octavia RS – Interior and Features

To highlight the interior layout, the Czech carmaker has finished the car in an all-black theme. This includes a free-standing touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel with controls, an electronic parking brake, red ambient lighting, red stitching on the black upholstery, metal pedals, soft-touch materials on the door panels and dashboard and much more. There is no shortage of the latest tech and convenience amenities.

Specs

The most fascinating aspect of the new Skoda Octavia RS is what lies under the hood. It carries a potent 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol mill which will generate a whopping 265 hp and 370 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill pairs with a sporty 7-speed DSG transmission which allows a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 6.4 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. The standard sports suspension is lowered by 15 millimetres and, together with the progressive steering and electronically controlled VAQ limited-slip differential, ensures excellent traction and driving dynamics in any situation. The RS-specific adaptive Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) can be installed as an option. Also, the braking performance is ensured by ventilated disc brakes measuring 340 × 30 mm at the front and 310 × 22 mm at the rear.
