In fact, it made the brand mass-market in India. Hence, the SUV needs to stay fresh and updated with the latest trends to keep the interest of the buyers. To ensure that the needs of all sorts of customers are taken care of, the new Compass gets a mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains. Here are the details.
New Jeep Compass Revealed
The first key aspect of this new Compass is the sheer availability of powertrains. Based on the Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform, one can choose between a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol with 0.9 kWh and 48 V mild hybrid tech making 145 hp, a 1.6-litre four-cylinder with a 125 hp electric motor PHEV generating 195 hp with a 21 kWh battery and a pure electric with two battery pack options – 73 kWh and 97 kWh.
