The Japanese two-wheeler giant has been focusing on the premium end of the market for a while now
The all-new Honda CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP have been launched in India. In the last few years, this segment of the Indian market has displayed steady growth. Influential personalities and avid riders often want motorcycles with massive engines. That is where such products come into the picture. In India, this is still a niche space. Nevertheless, Honda wants to be active in this area with the two variants of the Hornet. Let us glance at the details of this case.
New Honda CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP Launched
Bookings for both models are now open and the eliveries will begin in June 2025. The CB750 Hornet is priced at Rs 8,59,500 and will be available at all BigWing and BigWing Topline dealerships. The CB1000 Hornet SP costs Rs 12,35,900 and will be sold only through BigWing Topline outlets. Prices are ex-showroom Gurugram. Both bikes follow Honda’s “Aggressive X Pure” design theme. They feature sharp lines, bold styling, and a muscular streetfighter look. All-LED lighting and a distinctive headlamp add to their visual presence.
The CB750 Hornet comes in Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. The CB1000 Hornet SP is available in Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, with added gold accents. The CB750 Hornet is powered by a 755cc, 2-cylinder engine producing 67.5 kW (92 PS) at 9,500 RPM and 75 Nm torque at 7,250 RPM. It has a SHOWA inverted front fork and a Pro-Link rear monoshock. The CB1000 Hornet SP has a 999cc, 4-cylinder engine with 115.6 kW (158 PS) at 11,000 RPM and 107 Nm at 9,000 RPM. It uses a SHOWA front fork and ÖHLINS TTX36 rear suspension.
Both bikes have 6-speed gearboxes with assist and slipper clutches. The CB750 Hornet offers four riding modes, while the CB1000 Hornet SP has five, including two customizable settings. Safety features include selectable torque control, emergency stop signal, and ABS. Braking on the CB1000 Hornet SP includes dual 310 mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a 240 mm rear disc. The CB750 Hornet has 296 mm front discs and a 240 mm rear disc. Each bike features a 5-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync for Bluetooth-based smartphone connectivity.
