The Indian auto giant has been having a decent time on the sales charts in many international markets in the last few years
In this post, we take a look at the details of a foreign automobile media personnel, showcasing why he thinks Mahindra is better than Toyota. Mahindra has become immensely popular in the passenger vehicle segment in India in the last few years. Prior to that, it was a huge player in the commercial and heavy-duty vehicle space. Nevertheless, its new-age passenger SUVs have taken the market by storm. Interestingly, its popularity was not just restricted to the Indian market.
Foreign Media Shows Why Mahindra is Better Than Toyota
This post stems from danieldynamo on Instagram. He is at a Mahindra dealership. Digging a bit deeper into his profile, I was able to ascertain that he works at Heartland Motors in Sydney, Australia. We know that Mahindra has been selling cars Down Under for a long time now. The likes of the XUV700 and Scorpio N have been extremely popular in the last couple of years. These embody the legacy of tough Mahindra SUVs of the past and combine it with the new-age amenities. No wonder customers are taking a liking to these SUVs.
Among the reasons the host mentions in this post are the need to service the Mahindra only once a year. For comparison, the host mentions that the Toyota RAV4 needs to be serviced twice every year. Furthermore, he says that the Indian carmaker makes some of the most reliable cars in the world. In all honesty, we have seen that the old workhorses from Mahindra have been functional for years in our country despite relentless abuse. Finally, he mentions that the interior of the Mahindra XU700 is much better and more modern than the Toyota RAV4. Sitting inside the SUV makes him feel like he is sitting inside a movie cinema. These are the reasons why he thinks the XUV700 is better than the RAV4.
My View
Now, I have been reporting about the reactions of the Australian customers regarding Indian cars for a while now. The market share of Mahindra has been growing in many international markets in the last few years. I must also mention that I am quite excited about the latest and upcoming Mahindra EVs. These include the electric SUVs under two sub-brands – XEV and BE. These are designed for global markets, and the XEV 9e and BE 6 have already been successful in India. Let us keep an eye out for that in times to come.
