Kia Carens Stuck on Beach in Goa

Unfortunate incidents near beaches keep happening in India due to people overlooking the statutory warnings

A disappointing case has emerged from Goa, where a new Kia Carens, just 20 days old, was seen struggling against the tide on a beach. The owner, disregarding the warnings, ended up taking the new car to the beach. Carens is one of the most feature-laden products in its class. Its latest version was launched a few months ago with loads of tech and convenience amenities. Apart from that, it bears the latest design philosophy from Kia. Hence, it became an instant hit among potential car buyers. For now, let us take a look at the details of this recent occurrence.

New Kia Carens Driven into Beach in Goa

The visuals about this incident stem from the BanyanTc GoaNews page on Facebook. As per the information in the post, a tourist at Anjuna Beach ignored repeated warnings and drove his car into the sand. Unfortunately, the car was dragged away by a strong tide. In fact, we see the video clip where the Carens is immersed in the water up to the bonnet. Thankfully, the SUV was rescued after hard efforts by the onlookers. We see the SUV covered in sand after it was pulled out of the water.

This is a classic case of tourists ignoring all the warnings around the beach. In the last few years, many instances have surfaced from various beaches of India where the local rules were flouted for personal pleasure. In numerous cases, the car owners had to face the consequences of such foolish acts. That is exactly what happened here. Imagine a 20-day-old car suffering the aftermath of being submerged in the water and covered in sand. We can only hope that the water didn’t enter the critical components.

My View

I would like to urge our readers to never be involved in such activities and to respect local laws while visiting a new place. Going on a holiday doesn’t mean that you are free to do anything you wish. Most tourists forget this and break the local regulations and traditions. Sometimes, they have to suffer the consequences. Hence, let us pledge to be responsible citizens and road users. Also, we must encourage everyone around us to do the same. That is the only way to safeguard our roads and cars.
