The Indian automotive giant has just updated one of its highest-selling SUVs ever to cater to the new-age customers
The 2025 Mahindra Bolero facelift comes with a few handy upgrades based on customer feedback. To offer new features in any car as a result of customer feedback is the best practice a carmaker can adopt. These ensure that the customers are valued and the products get better with time. The Bolero is an iconic product for Mahindra. It has been around since August 2000, marking 25 years of existence. Evidently, it has resonated well with the customers as the demand is still quite high. The facelift makes the entire proposition even more enticing.
2025 Mahindra Bolero Facelift
I recently got the chance to experience the 2025 Mahindra Bolero facelift as part of the media drive. There are some welcome changes to the new model. At the front, it gets a slightly revised fascia with a new grille and a fresh bumper to accentuate its adventurous demeanour. On the sides, the dual-tone alloy wheels certainly elevate its road presence. Apart from that, the new Stealth Black colour theme adds a rugged option for the buyers. On the inside, the changes are even more useful.
To start with, the new leatherette upholstery makes the entire riding experience for the customers much more comfortable than before. That has been one of the most prominent complaints from the consumers. Apart from that, the addition of a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment display adds that modern feel to the cabin. I can’t stress enough how much new-age buyers value this feature. Similarly, the USB-C charging port is great for smartphone users. Finally, the driver will appreciate the steering-mounted controls for multimedia. This will ensure that he/she won’t have to take their eyes off the road to operate the new audio system.
What has remained the same, expectedly, is the engine and transmission. The SUV retains the familiar and reliable 1.5-litre 3-cylinder mHawk75 turbo diesel mill, which generates a healthy 75 hp and 210 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. This mill pairs with a 5-speed manual transmission. Another area that has seen revisions based on customer feedback is the suspension. Mahindra claims that the updated suspension lends the SUV a more comfortable ride than before. Meanwhile, I am particularly thrilled about the not-so-hefty price premium with the retail sticker ranging from Rs 7.99 lakh to Rs 9.69 lakh, ex-showroom.

Having tracked the Bolero’s journey for over two decades, it’s always interesting to see how Mahindra evolves this iconic SUV. With the 2025 facelift, the updates may be subtle but they’re meaningful. This is especially true because they stem from real customer feedback. I recently experienced the refreshed model firsthand, and it’s clear Mahindra is listening closely to its loyal base while nudging the Bolero a wee bit towards modernity.
