Indian roads often capture bizarre instances, which showcase people flouting traffic regulations
In a rather shocking chain of events, a couple was spotted lying / sleeping on the roof and bonnet of a moving car. We know that Indian roads can be extremely dangerous. The prime reason for that is the sheer lack of seriousness among road users regarding traffic regulations and protocols. Essentially, people end up doing whatever they desire without caring about the consequences. Apart from big cities, this is a common trend across the nation. This latest case is a precise case in point.
Couple Seen Sleeping on Roof and Bonnet of Moving Car
This post stems from ingoa24x7 on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather strange occurrence on a road. Someone travelling on this road made the video of the entire saga. A Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is moving on the road with a woman lying on its roof and a man lying on the bonnet. Curious and concerned, the man who made the video asked the driver of the car to stop. He questioned the reason for this insane act. To this, the driver replied that this was all part of a pre-wedding shoot.
That is insanely perilous and careless, which not only jeopardizes their safety but also the safety and well-being of other road users. The driver seemed apologetic about the entire episode and asked the couple to get down from the car. He even mentioned that he was not travelling too fast to ensure the safety of everyone. Thankfully, no one was injured in this stupid event. Nevertheless, things could easily have gone wrong in the blink of an eye had the driver applied sudden brakes or had to steer the car in a rush.
My View
I have been reporting on the tragic incidents on Indian roads for a long time now. We lose lakhs of lives each year in road accidents. Most of these situations could have easily been avoided had the people followed the laws. It is high time we take these things seriously and adhere to the regulations. That is the only way to ensure road safety. If you find anyone flouting traffic rules, make sure to report them to the authorities so that appropriate action can be taken against them. Let us pledge to be responsible road users and encourage everyone around us to be the same.
