Mahindra XEV 9e Outsells Tata Nexon EV

The large electric SUV from Mahindra has demonstrated pretty incredible performance on the sales charts this year

The latest sales reports confirm that the Mahindra XEV 9e was able to outsell the Tata Nexon EV for the period of January to November 2025. The coupe electric SUV from Mahindra generated a ton of interest from media and customers alike. Ever since its launch, Mahindra has received massive bookings for the XEV 9e and BE6. These are its two flagship electric SUVs, designed to compete on a global stage. On the other hand, the Tata Nexon EV has been the most successful EV in the country for years now. Let us delve into the specifics of this case here.

According to the reports online, Mahindra was able to sell 24,951 units of the XEV 9e between January and November 2025, whereas Tata Motors sold 22,878 units of the Nexon EV. This is quite shocking considering the price tags of these two products. The Nexon EV retails between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 17.49 lakh, ex-showroom, while the Mahindra XEV 9e ranges from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh, ex-showroom.
