The electric scooter portfolio has expanded, making it more accessible to a wide range of customers
The popular TVS iQube has now attained yet another trim to cater to the growing needs of Indian customers. The electric two-wheeler space in our market has been growing rapidly in the last few years. People are getting more comfortable with living with EVs. This is true not just for the electric two-wheelers, but also for electric passenger cars. The charging infrastructure is being developed swiftly and the number of models on sale is increasing. Hence, people have more options to choose from. For now, let us take a look at the details of the new trim of the iQube.
TVS iQube Gets New S 4.7 kWh Variant
The new TVS iQube 4.7 kWh version is called S. It offers a range of 175 (IDC) on a single charge, which is extremely handy in real-world scenarios. Apart from that, the top speed is limited to a healthy 82 km/h and the acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h comes up in just 4.3 seconds. This makes it engaging to ride in city conditions. With a weight of 128.8 kg and gradeability of 10 degrees, taking it on inclines is not going to pose any problems either. Additionally, the electric scooter comes in new colours – Manificence Purple Beige, Harlequin Blue Beige and Mercury Grey. Charging this battery from 0 to 80% takes 4 hours.
The battery is IP67 water and dust resistant and the EV gets AIS 156 certification, along with crash, fall and anti-theft alerts and disc brakes. In terms of features, there are things like joystick-enabled navigation, incoming call and SMS alerts, document upload, voice assist, Alexa skillset, turn-by-turn navigation, distance to empty, remote charge status, 118+ connected features, 32-litre under-seat storage enough to fit 2 helmets comfortably, USB charging port, LED lighting, 7-inch display and much more. Finally, this new variant boasts a price tag of Rs 1,37,142, ex-showroom.

Having followed the electric two-wheeler segment closely, I can clearly see how products like the TVS iQube are helping EVs become more mainstream in India. What stands out to me is the increasing focus on practical range, connected features and everyday usability, which matter far more to Indian buyers than outright performance figures. The addition of a larger battery variant also reflects the growing confidence customers now have in electric mobility. In my view, as charging infrastructure continues to improve, scooters like the iQube will play a crucial role in accelerating mass EV adoption across urban India.
