This time around, the power and torque outputs are 83 PS and 112 Nm, respectively. In the CNG guise, these figures drop down to a decent 70 PS and 102 Nm, respectively. Performing transmission duties with the petrol version are a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, while the CNG is solely on offer with the manual gearbox. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l for the MT and 24.77 km/l for the AMT. These are pretty impressive numbers and will reel in tons of new customers. New Toyota Glanza – Design
In effect, the exterior styling of the new Toyota Glanza is distinct in comparison to the outgoing model. This is especially true for the front fascia. The wider and larger grille gives the hatchback a distinctive appearance, complemented by a redesigned bumper, LED fog lamps and unique LED daytime running lights. In comparison, the side profile remains largely unchanged, retaining the familiar alloy wheel design and body styling. The rear section also carries forward most of the existing design elements, including the LED taillamps and sporty bumper. Overall, the refreshed front end lends the Toyota Glanza a more distinctive identity, making it easier to differentiate between the various versions at first glance. The dimensions of the vehicle are:
| Dimensions (mm) | New Toyota Glanza |
| Length | 3,990 |
| Width | 1,745 |
| Height | 1,530 |
| Wheelbase | 2,520 |
Editor’s Note
The new Toyota Glanza continues the brand’s partnership with Maruti Suzuki, but the latest update brings some notable changes beyond the usual badge engineering. The redesigned front fascia gives the hatchback a more distinctive identity, while features such as ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging and Level 2 ADAS make it a more feature-packed offering. The biggest mechanical change is the new three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, which replaces the earlier four-cylinder unit and promises impressive fuel efficiency. With both petrol and CNG options, manual and AMT convenience, and Toyota’s extended warranty package, the Glanza remains an appealing choice for buyers looking for an economical premium hatchback. However, it will be interesting to see how the new engine’s refinement and driving character compare with the outgoing model. – Yatharth Chauhan, Managing Editor
