Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has been shattering one sales record after another. With its sales numbers being second only to those of Hero MotoCorp, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese bike-maker giant has been doing really well in the nation. After having established a really very strong foothold in the scooter segment, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd could be now planning to launch a new motorcycle in the market. It may be noted here that the CBR250R, which used to be the most powerful Honda motorcycle in India, has been taken off the shelves. The upcoming high capacity motorcycle will be replaced by a new model that will rival the 350cc offerings from Royal Enfield. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have already patented the Rebel 300 in India. In most probability, it will become the first of many new Honda motorcycles headed our way. Read on for Honda Rebel 300 India Launch Date, Price, Specs, Features, Images.

Powering the new Honda Rebel 300 is the same engine that powers the CBR300R. However, it has been tweaked for its application in the cruiser-style motorcycle. The 286cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke PGM-FI engine outputs a maximum power of 27 bhp along with a peak torque of 24 Nm. It. comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The 300cc engine is capable of producing around 27bhp of power and 24Nm of torque. The Rebel 500, on the other hand, will offer a maximum power of 45 bhp along with a peak torque of 44 Nm. The suspension duties are taken care of by a set of 41 mm forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is courtesy of hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear. The motorcycle also gets ABS.

Honda Rebel 300 Mileage

As the new motorcycle shares its engine with the CBR300, we have an idea of the fuel mileage we can expect out of it. We think the new bike will easily offer an overall mileage of around 30 kmpl.

Honda Rebel 300 India – Design

The Rebel 300 is a retro-style motorcycle that is a spiritual successor to the Rebel 250 from 1985. It is built on a lightweight trellis frame, which comes painted in black. Even the engine and the alloy wheels come painted in black. The designers have taken a rather minimalist approach to design this motorcycle. However, there will be many custom options made available with this motorcycle. The single round headlamp gets LED fixtures. The saddle is low, to offer a relaxed riding posture to even those who are on the shorter side. It features a set of long travel telescopic shock absoerbers at the front along with twin shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle rides on 16-inch alloy wheels.
