The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 68,000 (Ex-showroom). The Burgman is a maxi-style 125cc premium scooter. Maxi-style scooters usually get a large front apron and a handlebar placed oddly on the apron. This scooter is derived from the original global Burgman series. Globally, this series starts from a 125cc scooter and goes up to 650cc. However, it does not look identical to the global one and also misses out on the important ABS, which is available in the global one.

The claimed mileage of the scooter is around 53 KMPL, but practically, we expect it to be around 50 KMPL. It weighs around 108 kgs, which is heavier than the Access. The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 faces competition with Aprilia SR 125, TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Grazia, Mahindra Gusto 125 and Vespa SXL 125. The Aprilia only has the looks but lacks in features, the Gusto is not much popular and the Vespa is too overpriced. So if you see, the only strong competitors are Ntorq 125 and Grazia. Grazia comes from the Honda brand which is the most trusted brand in India. On the other hand, Ntorq offers such great technology and many segment first features. So, of these three it is a tough choice. But, Burgman is the costliest of these three, putting it in a tough spot.
