The booking figures of Honda CB300R have crossed 500 units. Looks like its quota for 2019 is over, but the bookings are still going on.

Honda CB300R was launched in February, priced at Rs 2.41 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It comes in India through the CKD route. The bike is assembled at its factory in North India.

Honda has reportedly gotten 500 bookings for the CB300R, in just 2 months. Reports suggest that it is now sold out in India for 2019. HMSI had projected lower booking figures.

However, the dealerships are still accepting the bookings for the bike. Probably, Honda might consider allotting more units for India, or the bookings are for the next year.

Honda CB300R is a neo-sports cafe-racer, basically a modern inspiration of the cafe racers. It is the very first from the global CB range to arrive in India.

The bike uses a 293cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, that is capable of producing 32 BHP and 27.5 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a wet multi-plate clutch.

Features onboard include full LED headlamps, LCD Instrument console, low-positioned one-piece handlebar, split step-up seats and dual-ABS.

Suspension duties are handled by 41mm USD forks at the front and a 5-step adjustable monoshock absorber at the back. Braking is handled by a 296mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the back, with dual-ABS.

Meanwhile, the deliveries of Honda CB300R have fully commenced. They are only available at Honda Wing World dealerships, which are only 22 showrooms over the country.

CB300R goes against the likes of Royal Enfield 650 Twins, KTM Duke 390, Bajaj Dominar and BMW G 310 R. Duke 390 and G 310 R are its ideal rivals because of the similar price range and a similar naked street styling.
