Aston Martin DB12 Design & Styling

While the DB11 and the upcoming DB12 share certain design cues, the DB12 distinguishes itself with its enlarged grille, repositioned headlamps, and a beefier bonnet structure. Key elements, like the distinctive C-shaped taillights, are retained from the previous model, but noticeable changes are evident. The Aston Martin grille has been widened, and the headlamps are modified, imparting a bolder exterior look. The new LED daytime running lights in the headlamps enhance its sleekness. On the sides, sharper lines and a more prominent air vent extends from the front wheel arch. This design detail provides a distinct appearance.

Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, says: “DB12 is our design definition of a Super Tourer. Historically, the GT code among most contemporary enthusiasts meant some semblance of comfort, speed, and refinement. But since the Aston Martin customer is no ordinary motorist, and we no longer simply design objects in and of themselves, we’ve fused everything together on the DB12 – the handling, dynamics, powertrain, sense of space, and styling- and we’ve done it to the max through technology to deliver this new category of performance-design driving experience.”
