Bajaj Pulsar 220 vs RE Bullet 350 Tug of War

This post comes from 220_bike_lovers_ on Instagram. The visuals capture quite an exciting sight. The two bikes are tied together from the rear. Both riders pull the accelerator lever with equal force. In the beginning, both motorcycles stay at their original spots. However, soon thereafter, the Pulsar begins pulling the Bullet toward itself. Within a matter of seconds, the Bullet rider felt overpowered. He desperately tried to hold on but could not sustain the force of the Pulsar. Finally, the Pulsar pulls the Bullet away quite vehemently and the Bullet rider even falls to the ground while controlling the bike. Thankfully, he didn’t get injured.

Specs Comparison

Bajaj Pulsar 220 comes with a potent 220-cc single-cylinder air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that generates a decent 20.4 PS @8,500 RPM and 18.55 Nm @7,000 RPM of peak power and torque. The transmission duties are carried on by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, there are 17-inch alloy wheels with a 280 mm disc at the front and a 230 mm disc at the rear. On the other hand, the RE Bullet has a 349-cc counterbalanced air-cooled engine that develops a healthy 20.2 PS and 27 Nm of peak power and torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox does the transmission duties. The power figures are similar but the Bullet weighs a lot more than the Pulsar which could have led to this outcome.

What We Think

Recently, many YouTubers have jumped on the trend of using tug of war as a way to test and compare different motorcycles. However, it’s crucial to understand that relying solely on such races for these evaluations might not be the best approach. The reason for concern is that tug of war can potentially cause long-term damage to motorcycles since most bikes aren’t designed for such applications. As a result, we strongly discourage anyone from attempting these activities with their own bikes. In reality, most people don’t ride their motorcycles in such an extreme manner due to safety considerations and the potential harm it can cause to their vehicles.
