BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure launched in India – Get Prices

BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure ADV motorcycles have been launched in India. The prices start off at Rs 16.85 Lakhs, going up to Rs 21.95 Lakhs.

BMW Motorrad has finally launched its all-new R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure motorcycles in India. While 1250 GS is for long touring, 1250 GS Adventure is a perfect companion for off-roading and adventure trails.

Both the motorcycles will be bought to India as CBU (Completely Built-up units). The bikes are currently on display at BMW Motorrad dealerships. The bookings for BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure began a few days ago, at a token of Rs 3-5 Lakhs.

BMW R 1250 GS and 1250 GS Adventure come in 4 variants:

  1. BMW R 1250 GS Standard – Rs 16.85 Lakhs
  2. Pro – Rs 20.05 Lakhs
  3. Adventure Standard – Rs 18.25 lakhs
  4. Adventure Pro – Rs 21.95 Lakhs

BMW R 1250 GS is available in Black Storm Metallic, Cosmic Bluet Metallic, Light White Uni, Racing Bluet Metallic, Racing Red and Night Black Matt colours.

The Adventure variant is available in Ice Grey, Light White Uni, Racing Blue Metallic, Racing Red Uni and Kalamata Metallic Matt paintwork.

Both the motorcycles use a 2-cylinder-in-line 1254cc engine, that puts out 136 BHP and 143 Nm of peak torque. Motorrad has equipped both the motorcycles with BMW ShiftCam to provide additional power spread across the entire speed range.

The R 1250 GS gets alloy wheels, luggage rack, crash guards and knuckle guards. It weighs 229 kgs and gets a 20 Litre fuel tank. On the other hand, the Adventure variant gets spoke wheels with all the safety equipment. It is heavier at 249 kgs, with a 30 Litre fuel tank.

Electronics on both the motorcycles include Electronic Immobilizer, Colour TFT screen, LED headlight, 12V charing socket, Riding Modes, Adjustable foot brake and hand brake lever, Bluetooth Connectivity, Adjustable Wind Screen and Hill Start Control.

Additional packages are available on the Pro variants. The comfort package includes Heated Grips, Tyre Pressure control and Hand Protection. Touring package gets ESA, Keyless Ride, GPS navigation and Cruise Control. The Dynamic package offers DRLs, Gear Shift Assistant and Riding modes Pro.
