Ducati has launched the BS6 Scrambler 1100 Pro in India in two variants – Standard and Pro Sport – and the price has gone up by Rs 1.04 lakh and Rs 2.32 lakh respectively for each of the two variants over its BS4 counterpart.

Ducati has today launched the BS6 Scrambler 1100 Pro in India today. With this, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has expanded their BS6 lineup of two models in India. The Scrambler 1100 Pro has been launched in India in two variants – Standard and Pro Sport. The standard BS6 Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro is now available for a price of Rs 11.95 lakh while the more premium Pro Sport variant has been launched for a price of Rs 13.74 lakh, all prices, ex-showroom India.

The new Scrambler 1100 is thus Rs 1.04 lakh more expensive than its BS4 counterpart while the Pro Sport variant is Rs 2.32 lakh more expensive than before. While the price hike for the standard variant still seems justifiable, the Pro Sport sees quite a steep hike in price. So what’s new for the BS6 Scrambler 1100? Well, for starters, the ‘Pro’ suffix is new to name, perhaps to create a distinction over its smaller 800cc sibling.

There are also subtle design updates on the motorcycle.

There are also subtle design updates on the motorcycle. The tear-drop shaped fuel tank gets some new graphics in the form of new ‘1100’ stickering. The seat also gets a new shape while the tail has been shortened and the exhausts are now positioned on the right side only. Powering the Scrambler 1100 is the same 1,079cc L-twin air-cooled engine, but it is obviously cleaner now. The engine also comes in two different states of tune for the two different variants.

In the standard Pro model, the engine has been tuned to produce 84.7PS and 90.5Nm while in the Pro Sport variant, the engine produces 85.65PS and 88Nm. In both the models, the engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a hydraulically-actuated slip-and-assist clutch. Both models of the Scrambler 1100 also get three riding modes – Active, Journey and City, – four-level traction control and cornering ABS.

The suspension components on both variants of the Scrambler 1100 also differ. The standard Pro variant gets fully-adjustable Marzocchi USD at the front while the rear gets a preload- and rebound-adjustable Kayaba monoshock. Meanwhile, the Pro Sport variant gets premium Ohlins suspension at both ends with the same level of adjustability as the Pro model. Other hardware such as the Brembo M4.32 monoblocs, 17-inch alloy wheels and Pirelli MT60 RS tyres are common to both motorcycles.
