A new video from Chandigarh Road has gone viral. It shows a scuffle between a traffic cop and a Fortuner Driver.

Traffic police are an essential part of maintaining order on the city roads in India. It enjoys a powerful presence on the roads. On the other hand, many drivers also act with a sense of entitlement. Hence, sometimes this leads to unpleasant altercations and even physical fights. Now a new video from Chandigarh shows a traffic cop manhandling an SUV driver. The behavior on display is quite unacceptable. Let’s take a closer look!

As you can see in the video above, the Fortuner SUV was reportedly stopped for a traffic offense. However, it quickly led to an argument between the driver and ASI Ravinder. Subsequently, both ended up in a physical fight. The traffic cop even took the SUV keys from the driver forcibly. This incident took place on Saturday, near Panjab University, Chandigarh. It was captured by a motorist (parked behind the SUV) and shared on social media. Senior constable Rahul also recorded the incident on the Police Department’s Handycam.

Since then, the video has gone viral online and the matter has been reported to the police. The police claim that an inquiry had been initiated into the incident. Reportedly, the two traffic cops have been sent to the Traffic Lines. While this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable, always follow the traffic rules and report anyone’s unruly behavior to the authorities. It is advisable to never take the law into your hands in any situation. You can always take legal action through proper channels.
