Tata Tiago

A drunk truck driver was speeding on a highway and rammed into a stationary Tata Tiago right on the driver side. Check out the impact and the damage to the hatch.

Tata Tiago comes with a 4-star safety rating for the adult occupants and 3-star safety rating for the child occupants. We all know about the strong build quality of the hatchback and how it can withstand some serious impact. Here is another example where it saved the life of the owner, after being hit on the side by a speeding truck. Check out the whole video now.

As you can see, the truck rammed into the Tata Tiago on the driver side itself. The owner tells that he was sitting in his car, which was stationary on the other side of the road. Suddenly, this drunk truck driver lost control. His speed was so high that first, the truck jumped lanes after breaking off two dividers of a state highway. And then, it went on to ram the Tiago on the front door.

Both the side doors have been fully crumpled along with the pillar. Both the wheels on that side have also burst. Even the side fenders have been impacted, however, no damage can be seen on the front and also on the other side. The owner got out of the car from the passenger side safely. He is impressed and also thankful to the build quality of Tiago. He also says that if it would have been any other brand, he could not have been saved.

Tata Tiago gets a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine only as the 1.05 Litre diesel engine was discontinued. Engine produces 86 PS and 116 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. The prices of Tiago start at Rs 4.69 Lakhs up to Rs 6.73 Lakhs (ex-showroom). While we may not get the JTP variant anymore, Tiago Turbo has been spotted separately which could be the next in line.
