Here Is India’s First Modified Kia Sonet “Dark Edition” – Details

Check out this Kia Sonet which was modified on the day of its delivery itself into a completely blacked out SUV!

Kia Sonet is the latest subcompact SUV to enter the Indian market and has already started generating high sales. Here is India’s first modified Sonet that went through changes on the delivery day itself. The owner took delivery in Bengaluru on 30th September and took his HTX variant directly to the modification shop.

It receives a completely blacked out treatment and all chrome detailings have been taken out. The owner has put a Satin Black wrapping and all the chrome detailings have received a blacked-out treatment. The front grille, skid plates and roof rails, all have received the gloss black detailing.

Further, it gets 16″ GTR Pro Alloys replacing the steel wheels with hub caps. Its looks ravishing and the complete cosmetic modifications have costed back the owner Rs 1.3 Lakhs. One lakh is for the wrapping and blacked out treatment and Rs 30,000 for the alloy wheels. It costed him Rs 12 Lakhs on-road, taking the total cost as Rs 13.3 Lakhs.

Since this is the HTX variant, it gets steel wheels with some premium features. It gets LED DRLs, projector headlamps, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, rear AC vents and more. Safety bits include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a parking camera.

Kia Sonet is offered with a 1.2 Litre petrol engine, 1.0 litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine comes with a 5-speed manual stick as standard. The turbo engine gets no manual gearbox but the new 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT. The diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed torque converter. Prices start at Rs 6.71 Lakhs up to Rs 13.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
