Indian aftermarket car modifications houses and some innovative content creators end up developing some unbelievable projects
A prominent content creator took up the monumental task of designing a homemade hubless electric bike from scratch. This is not something we see all that often. Still, there are some enthusiasts who love to implement what they have learnt in their engineering and science classes. Apart from that, the use of the latest tech and electronics is also crucial in creating any automobile, regardless of how professional or basic it is. Let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Homemade Hubless Electric Bike
The specifics of this unique occurrence surfaced courtesy of Creative Science on YouTube. The host often shares his DIY projects with the netizens, for which he is widely praised. This time around, he decided to construct a rather ambitious machine in the form of a homemade hubless electric bike. In the initial phase of the video, he demonstrated how he arranged the components and worked on them mechanically to give them the desired shape. I must admit the attention to detail is quite commendable.
He designed everything from the platform, tyres, wheels, battery case, battery, body, seats, steering mechanism, and more. In fact, he even made sure that the electric bike has usable electronic functionalities, including a headlamp, turn indicators, USB charger, wireless smartphone charger, multiple cameras, and an instrument display. Finally, he took the bike out for a test drive before giving it the finishing touches. That is when he encountered a problem.
Somehow, the steering mechanism didn’t work as planned. That resulted in some difficulties in trying to manoeuvre the electric bike on the road. Hence, the team went back to the workshop and removed the necessary components and designed the steering assembly yet again. Thankfully, things worked in this attempt. Therefore, when he took the EV for a ride on a busy public road, everything was working fine. In fact, the 3D printing ensured that the aesthetics of the motorbike appear attractive and professional. In the end, he mentioned that he is also working on integrating AI into this, which will enable autonomous driving. Let us keep an eye out for that.
