The entry-level SUV from the Korean giant has just become more appealing with two new trims
The popular Hyundai Exter is now available with two new variants to cater to a wider range of customers. Exter has been quite successful in our market ever since its launch back in July 2023. It is the most affordable SUV from the Korean carmaker. Having said that, it attracts new buyers with tons of modern-day amenities, including a whole host of standard safety features. To make things even more accessible to the potential buyers, there are two new trims on offer – S Smart and SX Smart.
Hyundai Exter Gets Two New Feature-Packed Variants
This update gives buyers more choices with added features. The new variants aim to meet the needs of young Indian drivers. They offer a mix of style, ease, and performance. Both variants come with key safety and comfort features. ISOFIX child seat anchors are now standard across all Exter models, adding more safety for families. Customers can choose between manual and AMT transmissions. The SUVs are available in petrol and Hy-CNG Duo power options.
The S Smart variant now includes an electric sunroof. The SX Smart comes with a smart key and push-button start. These features, often seen in higher-end cars, are now more accessible. Buyers also have the option to upgrade to a 9-inch touchscreen. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and includes a rear camera. This upgrade is available as a genuine accessory for Rs 14,999 and comes with a 3-year warranty. Hyundai says these updates are part of its plan to offer advanced technology to more people. With this move, the Exter becomes an even stronger option in the small SUV segment.

Overall, the Hyundai Exter sells from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 10.51 lakh, ex-showroom. However, the new S Smart range starts at Rs 7,68,490 for the manual and Rs 8,39,090 for the AMT. Similarly, the SX Smart manual variant retails for Rs 8,16,290, and the AMT bears a price tag of Rs 8,83,290. Finally, the CNG avatars of these two trims cost Rs 8,62,890 and Rs 9,18,490, respectively. Hence, the range has become more diverse.
