Hyundai Santro trims get updated with new features. Era and D-lite variant discontinued.

Hyundai Santro gets updated with a new trim, Era Executive, while the Korean manufacturers boycott the base D-lite and Era variants. The executive variant will now be offered with more features. The hatchback does not receive any changes under the hood.

Era Executive now gets front power windows, air-conditioner, and body coloured bumpers which were missing from the D-lite trim. Rear ac vents which were earlier seen on the Era trim skips the new Hyundai Santro Era Executive variant.

Hyundai Santro offers Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic brake distribution (EBD), seat belt warning, child safety lock as standard features across all variants. However, it is the top-spec Asta trim which gets dual front airbags while the others only get driver-side airbag. Rear parking sensors are missed on all trims.

Hyundai Santro offers a dual-tone interior layout along with a slick 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The turbine-like ac surely catches your attention and the gold finish accents surrounding steering wheel, ac-vents and gear knob make the car feel upmarket.

Currently, Hyundai Santro is available in one engine option, which gets petrol and CNG as fuel options. The 1.1-litre petrol motor churns out 68 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 99 Nm. There is a 10% drop in power figures and the CNG stands at 58 bhp with 84 Nm of torque. The hatchback is available in both AMT and manual gearbox.
