Fresh reports confirm that the bookings for Hyundai Venue will commence from May 2, at dealerships and online. The compact-SUV will be launched on May 21.
Hyundai has finally unveiled its much-anticipated sub-compact SUV for the global markets. Hyundai Venue will be launched in India first, following in the international markets.
Autocar reports that the bookings for Venue will commence from May 2. The bookings can be done at dealerships as well as on their website. A few dealerships have already started accepting bookings.
The launch date in India is fixed for 21st May. We expect the deliveries to commence by the end of May. Dealerships might have started receiving the display and test ride units of Venue.

The engine specifications of Hyundai Venue have been revealed. It will be available with three engine options – a 1.0 Litre Turbo Petrol, 1.2 Litre petrol and a 1.4 Litre diesel unit.
The turbo petrol engine produces 120 BHP and 171 Nm of torque. The 1.2 litre naturally aspirated unit offers 83 BHP and 114 Nm of torque. Lastly, the diesel unit delivers 90 BHP and 219 Nm of torque.
5-speed manual gearbox on the petrol unit, a 7-speed DCT on the turbo-petrol unit and a 6-speed manual on the diesel engine will be offered.
Features onboard include Electric Sunroof, Cruise Control, Air Purifier, Wireless Charger, Hyundai Blue Link Connectivity, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, Projector Fog Lamps and Remote Start/Door/Climate Control/Horn/Light Control.

Safety features onboard include Six Airbags, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, ESC/ESP and Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Brake Assist System and ISOFIX.
Hyundai Venue will go against Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Maruti Vitara Brezza. We expect the prices to fall in the Rs 8-12 Lakhs range.
