Hyundai Venue base variant spied on Indian roads and will launch on May 21. The bookings for the same starts from May 2, 2019.

Seeing the popularity of the sub-4 metre compact SUV’s market, Hyundai is all set to up their game by bringing the Venue. The Hyundai SUV will give competition to Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 3OO.

Based on Hyundai’s new design language, the Venue will be loaded up with features and will add a premium taste to the brand. The segment first features like air purifier, wireless charging, projector fog-lamps are a few.

Hyundai Venue will feature an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system which will host Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. An electric sunroof, keyless entry, dual zone climate control, rain sensing wipers and rear AC vents are some of the features the sub-4 metre SUV will get.

Six- airbags, front and reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control and hill- hold function are some of the safety features that the SUV will get.

Hyundai plans to target monthly sales of 9,000 units per month similar to Maruti Suzuki Brezza, the highest selling compact SUV in the Indian market.

Talking about the engine specifications, the Venue will be available in three engine specifications – Two Petrol and One diesel engine.

There will be a 1.2L petrol motor churning out 82bhp and 114Nm of torque and the other is the first in class for Hyundai, the 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor which is the most powerful of the lot. It will produce a whopping 122bhp with a peak torque of 172Nm

The diesel motor gets tuned to generate 89bhp with 220Nm of torque. It will get a 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.2L petrol motor will get a 5-speed manual transmission while the 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor will get a dual-clutch 7-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission.

The price range for the Hyundai Venue starts at Rs 6.5 lakh for the base model and the top model costs Rs 11.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
