Kia EV9 is the World Car of the Year 2024
This is a prestigious ceremony which consists of 100 distinguished automotive journalists from 29 countries. The 7-seater electric car impressed them with its innovative design, spacious cabin, latest tech and convenience features, as well as the enticing price. Note that the EV9 is based on the E-GMP architecture from Hyundai and features the 4th generation battery technology for improved performance. This is not the first time Kia has bagged this prestigious award. Last year, the Kia EV6 GT took home the World Performance Car of the Year title. Hence, Kia sure knows how to breed winners.

Kia EV9 is already on sale in many international markets. It measures approximately 4,930 mm in length, 2,055 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. It boasts a range of around 300 miles (483 km) on a single charge, owing to its 77 kWh battery. Some may consider this battery size relatively small for such a large SUV. The EV9 offers both 2-wheel drive (2WD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD) configurations. Its charging infrastructure is tailored to accommodate a DC ultra-fast charger with 350 kW power, capable of replenishing the battery from 10% to 80% in just 20-30 minutes.
