This Is How The Kia Seltos HTK Plus Trim Differs From The Top Model

Kia Seltos HTK Plus trim gets features like projector headlamps, an 8.0-inch infotainment system, 16-inch alloy wheels and among others.

The much-awaited SUV in the market, Kia Seltos will be launched tomorrow. But before it is launched we bring you its mid-spec trim, that is the HTK Plus which sits above the base trim of the Kia Seltos.

These particular HTK Plus trim will do its duty on the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine of the Kia Seltos. Transmission option includes a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT to choose from.

The first look at the HTK Plus trim tells you its not very different from the top model until you clearly see the details. Let’s start with the front fascia which now gets projector lamp setup which sits at the bottom section. The elongated fog lamps as seen on the top-end trim gets replaced by a single set of the lamp. The side profile misses out on the 17-inch machine cut alloy wheels and not it gets 16-inch alloys with gunmetal shade.

The cabin sees a smaller 8.0-inch infotainment system with manual buttons as opposed to the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen unit which comes in the top of the line trims. The HVAC controls are manually controlled and given a piano black finish.

The multi-function steering wheel is found similar but the MID screen is a smaller dot matrix unit. Also, the dashboard sees fabric instead of leather upholstery and gets textured plastic trim.

As far as features are concerned, the HTK Plus trim of Seltos is pretty much equipped with modern age functions. Like the 8.0-inch infotainment head which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Cruise control, Rear defogger, push button start, LED DRLs, projector headlamp set up, fog lamps and much more.

Safety features onboard include dual front airbags with Anti-lock braking system with the Electronic brake-force distribution. It also gets rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder and reverse camera.

This trim will get 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which generates 115 bhp of power. Torque figures come out at 144 Nm and 250 Nm respectively. Transmission option includes a 6-speed manual gearbox, CVT and a 6-speed AT but is not sure if it will be offered with automatic transmission.
