Kia Seltos Is The 5th Best Selling Car In February; Beats i10 And Venue

For the month of February 2020, the sales of Kia Seltos are higher than many cars like Grand i10, Venue, i20 and Ertiga. It has now secured the 5th place.

It has now been over six months since Kia made its India debut with the Seltos. The SUV has emerged one of the best selling cars in its space, overtaking Venue and Creta a couple of times. For the month of February, the statement remains the same.

For February 2020, Kia has sold 14,024 units of the Seltos. That’s higher than cars like Maruti Ertiga, Eeco, Hyundai Grand i10, Venue and i20. Seltos has secured the fifth position behind Baleno, Alto, WagonR and Swift.

For the month of February, Hyundai has sold nearly 4,000 units lesser of Grand i10 and Venue. Both are more affordable cars than Seltos and are also very popular in their respective segment. I20 is the tenth best selling for February, primarily because its deliveries were a bit delayed last month.

The rivals for Kia Seltos include Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur. However, in terms of price comparison, you also get the option of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 500, Mahindra Scorpio and MG Hector. Prices of the variants of cars like Harrier and Hector overlap with some of that of Seltos.

Seltos comes with many premium features like a panoramic sunroof, Heads Up Display, touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connect, air purifier, automatic wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control and different drive modes.

Also, you have three different engines to choose from. There’s a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol engine. For all the engines a 6-speed manual gearbox comes as standard. Besides that, you have a CVT gearbox for the petrol engine, a 6-speed torque converter AT for the diesel engine and a 7-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol.

The prices of Seltos start off at Rs 9.89 Lakhs up to Rs 14.09 Lakhs for the petrol variants. The diesel variants are priced from Rs 10.18 lakhs up to Rs 16.99 Lakhs. The turbo petrol variants are priced from Rs 13.79 Lakhs up to Rs 16.99 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).
