Kia Motors will kickstart their journey with the premium mid-size SUV, Seltos, and here is a list of all showroom where you can book yours or can see the car in flesh once it starts reaching the dealers.
Kia Motors India is all set to launch their first SUV, Seltos, on August 22 and the bookings for the same have already started. However, these are unofficial bookings which dealers are taking on their part and the official status will be started somewhere after 14th July 2019. Kia Seltos shares the same platform as the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming SUV will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and the Creta, of course. It is expected to launch by last week of August and will carry a price tag of Rs 11 lakh – Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Under the hood, there are three engine options available with four different transmissions. A 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 115 bhp with 250 Nm of torque gets mated to a 6-speed torque converter. The naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol motor gets mated to a CVT gearbox, This engine produces 115 bhp with 144 Nm of torque.

More powerful petrol motor, a 1.4-litre turbocharged, generates a whopping 140 bhp with a healthy torque of 172 Nm. It gets mated to a 7-speed DCT. Mind you, a 6-speed manual gearbox is standard across all engines mentioned above and buyers can choose between manual and automatic transmission.
