Made in India Range Rover Velar launched – price starts at Rs 72.47 lakh

Made in India Range Rover Velar will be available in petrol and diesel engine with only a single variant on sale.

Jaguar Land Rover has recently announced that the Range Rover Velar will be locally manufactured in India and will start at a price tag of Rs 72.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The car will be available in 2.0L petrol and diesel engine with only a single variant on sale which is the R-Dynamic S variant. That said, the car hosts load of features like LED Headlamps, Four Zone Climate Control, flush door handles and more.

Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. expressed his thoughts and said, “We continue to focus on providing the best of British design, luxury, and technology at highly competitive prices and we are sure that local manufacturing of the Range Rover Velar will make it even more desirable”.

The SUV packs with Meridian Sound System (380W), panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, premium leather interiors, 20″ alloy wheels, Cabin Air Ionisation, signature LED DRL’s, R-Dynamic exterior pack and more features to the list.

The Range Rover Velar is available in 2.0L, 4-cylinder, petrol and diesel engine with power figures returning to 247bhp with 365Nm of torque and 177bhp with 430Nm of torque respectively.

The SUV is equipped with safety features like six airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic safety program (ESP).

The SUV competes with the likes of Jaguar F-pace, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Porsche Macan.

The Land Rover range in India starts with Discovery Sport followed by Range Rover Evoque then Range Rover Velar to Range Rover Sport and then the Range Rover.
