Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd, the two-wheeler division of Mahindra, has come up with a special edition of the Gusto automatic scooter. The new Mahindra Gusto RS special edition has gone on sale at an ex-showroom price of Rs 48,180. Also, the company is offering a cashback of Rs 6,000 if you purchase this scooter using the PayTM Mall app. This offer is valid until October 20, 2017. The latest special edition of the Gusto scooter comes with an option of two dual-tone paint schemes – Red and Blue. This limited edition scooter can be booked using Mahindra’s M2all.com website against a token amount of Rs 999.

Other than the special paint job and RS decals, there is no change in the scooter. Hence, the new Gusto RS variant shares its underpinnings with the regular model. Powering this automatic scooter is a 109.6cc, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 8 BHP at 7,500 RPM and a peak torque of 9 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mates to a CVT. The Gusto comes with twin telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The scooter gets 12-inch alloy wheels that are shod with 90-section tubeless tyres. Both the wheen get 130 mm drum brakes. The scooter has a fuel tank capacity of 6-litres.

The engine comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission. This engine offers decent acceleration and refinement. The acceleration is smooth and the scooter feels sufficiently zippy. Handling of the Gusto is also pretty good. The ride quality is also good.
