Mr Pawan Goenka, MD, Mahindra and Mahindra, shared his views on his plans with the expansion of petrol engines and said, “One of the major concerns was to develop a portfolio of petrol engines, something that we were lacking in 2016. However, we have a stamp of approval when Ford and SsangYong decided to use Mahinda’s new petrol engine in their vehicles. This means we have managed to develop an engine that is globally competitive,”

Mahindra also said that the high tech TGDI petrol engine use 250bar fuel-injection rail while the 350bar system production will begin next year. We expect that for better endurance and performance and improved refinement, the 2.0-litre could use the high-pressure 350bar gasoline direct injection system, but it is not confirmed yet from the manufacturer.
