Mahindra Thar Rescues Land Rover Defender

Perhaps the driver kept accelerating hard in order to take it out from the sand. However, due to a lack of traction, the SUV got stuck. That is when the Thar had to come to its rescue. The onlookers tied the rear ends of the SUVs with a solid iron chain. Additionally, people made space to insert materials behind Defender’s tyre to lend it more traction. Finally, Thar was able to pull the Defender out of the sandy hole. Everyone seemed to enjoy this rare incident.

While driving on the beaches, you must be careful about such aspects. Firstly, it is not advisable to take vehicles on a sandy surface. The chances of cars getting stuck on such terrains are high. There is barely any traction on such surfaces. The tyres easily lose grip and keep spinning. As a result, they often get stuck as they dig a hole for themselves. In such scenarios, they either have to be pushed out of the hole or towed out by another vehicle. Thankfully, the Thar was able to rescue the Defender on this occasion. Otherwise, people would’ve had to get together to force the Defender out of this predicament.

I just want to highlight the perils of taking vehicles on such surfaces. It is recommended that one should never take cars on sandy surfaces. The ground around the water is often not solid. When drivers try to force and accelerate their way out of such terrains, most of them end up getting stuck. That is an avoidable situation. Therefore, it is best to never attempt anything like this. Apart from that, this instance should not be taken as proof to infer that Thar is, in any way, better than the Defender. Both of them have unique capabilities. It was just a case of Thar having enough traction to pull the Defender out. This could’ve happened to any other car too.
