Aftermarket car modification houses have been coming up with impressive iterations of regular cars in the last few years
I recently came across a Mahindra Thar Roxx with heavy modifications on the inside and outside. We know that the Thar Roxx became an instant success since it was launched in India in August last year (2024). Note that it is not merely an elongated version of the regular Thar. Instead, in fact, the Indian auto giant has altered it thoroughly in terms of appearance, capabilities, features and mechanicals. This ensures that the buyers get a relatively different proposition. For now, let us take a look at the details of this customization.
Mahindra Thar Roxx Exterior and Interior Modifications
We are able to acquaint ourselves with the details of this case courtesy of Car Stylein on YouTube. Firstly, the exterior now gets a dual-tone theme with a matte black wrap on the side pillars to match the roof. Apart from that, the host mentions that Thar Roxx owners generally come to car houses to change the colour of the interior. In the stock configuration, Mahindra offers light-coloured upholstery. It is extremely difficult to maintain. As a result, the car modification house has replaced it with an all-black theme. It even extends to the door panels, roof, grab handles, etc. Additionally, this Thar Roxx gets customizations seat covers.
These are ventilation- and airbag-friendly. Also, this top variant of the Thar Roxx gets soft-touch materials on the top of the dashboard and door trims. However, the car shop has extended this to even the lower parts. The leather coating has also been installed on the armrest. Furthermore, this Thar Roxx boasts 9D flooring, carbon finish on AC vents, gearbox and door panels. There are also LED ambient lights for added feel. At the rear, there are two utility trays to keep your food or laptop on. They even offer wireless charging and USB charging. Overall, the premium quotient of the SUV has certainly gone up significantly.
My View
I must admit that the final product after these extensive modifications looks extremely attractive. While, there are not too many changes to the outside, the interior definitely oozes opulence. Also, the sporty all-black upholstery will be much easier to maintain in comparison to the stock white theme. I shall keep an eye out for more such cases going forward.
