Mahindra Car Sales June

Mahindra XUV300 AMT is likely to be launched in Late June or Early July this year. The 6-speed automatic gearbox has an automatic mode and manual mode.

Mahindra is all set to launch the automatic transmission of the XUV300. Launched in February this year, it immediately became the second best selling car in the sub-4-metre compact SUV segment beating the Tata Nexon.

The car in the video is the top-end trim W8 in the diesel model and the rear profile of the car sees an Auto-Shift badge. The inside remains the same with the multi-function steering wheel, dual-tone interiors and now it gets an automatic 6-speed Tiptronic gear level.

Mahindra XUV300 automatic is the much-anticipated car to be launched by the manufacturers. Its rivals, Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon already comes in automatic transmission. Ford Ecosport gets an AT gearbox while the newly launched Hyundai Venue gets a 7-speed DCT.

In this era, automatics are the new trend and with the city’s hustle and bustle, buyers are shifting their focus towards automatics as they provide an ease of comfort in the traffic conditions. New modern technologies have made automatic cars cheaper and provide a good fuel economy which eventually is lighter on the consumers pocket.

Mahindra XUV300 Automatic will continue to sport all the exclusive features like dual-zone climate control, all-four wheels disc brakes, seven-airbags and heated wing mirrors. The outside of the SUV also sees an electric sunroof, LED projector headlamps, LED taillights and more.

Mahindra XUV300 comes in two engine options, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol which churns out a total power of 108 bhp with 200 Nm of peak torque. And the diesel engine generates a total of 115 bhp and a healthy torque of 200 Nm which sources its power from a 1.5-litre turbocharged motor.

The upcoming AMT will be Magnetti-Marelli sourced and the prices for the automatic XUV300 will see a premium of Rs 50,000 compared to the manual counterparts. That said, reports also suggest that the automatic trim will be made available from the mid variant W6 in both petrol and diesel engine options. The base variant, W4 will continue to come with a manual transmission.

Recently, Mahindra also released an official release in May’19 that since its launch in February this year, the compact SUV has already crossed over 26,000 bookings and continues to top the second position. However, since the launch of the Venue, the SUV suffered quite a few sales and was soon spotted at the third position.
