Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, the country’s largest selling car company, has come up with a new limited edition of the Alto 800, one of its highest grossers. The new Maruti Alto 800 Utsav Limited Edition comes right at the onset of this year’s festive season. The new special model will try to woo the car buying lot during this period of increased car sales. The Utsav edition carries a handful of cosmetic enhancements that enhance the visual appeal of this bargain basement hatchback. The new Alto 800 Utsav has an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.55 lakh.

The new 2017 Maruti Alto 800 Utsav limited edition builds upon the VXi trim. This means you get all the features of the top-end trim along with the new features that are exclusive to the Utsav model. The new Maruti Alto 800 Utsav limited edition comes with a handful of visual updates that help the car have a higher visual appeal than the regular model. The front bumper gets what seem to be chrome rub strips to protect it from minute scratches. The fog lamp housings get chrome surrounds. The Utsav edition brings in red-yellow decals on the rear doors and the rear fenders. Even the taillamps get some chrome garnish and so does the lower-end of the boot. That’s not all as the car also gets chrome-plated ORVM caps. The latest special model comes with rear parking sensors. The interior gets a steering wheel cover and red trim for the centre console.

This special edition is based on the VXi trim. At Rs 3.54 lakh apiece, the Alto 800 Utsav is roughly Rs 20,000 costlier than the regular car. You also get a really useful feature in the form of reverse parking sensors. Of course, like all such special variants, the Utsav edition is available only for a limited time. The Alto 800 range starts at Rs 2.46 lakh.

As expected, the specifications remain unchanged. The Alto 800 Utsav comes with a 796 cc petrol engine that makes 48 bhp and 69 Nm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. As there has been no change to the design, the dimensions remain the same. This car measures 3,430 mm in length, 1,295 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,360 mm.
