Maruti Alto K10 More Powerful Than Skoda Kushaq

This crazily modified Maruti Alto K10 boasts some pretty fascinating numbers. You would not think of an Alto performing like a sportscar. But there are tons of prominent aftermarket car shops that can do that. Alto is a name synonymous with affordability, practicality and low running costs. However, the aftermarket car modification houses can easily turn any car into a rocket. In fact, the Alto in this post can produce as much power as a Skoda Kushaq 1.5. Let us take a look at the details of this unique car.

This post comes from b.choww on Instagram. The host mentions that this Alto comes from Sri Lanka. It has tons of performance enhancements to make it achieve a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 6.5 secs. That is almost half of what it achieves in its regular iteration. It is possible due to the engine which makes 140 hp and 150 Nm of peak power and torque. There are features like a hybrid turbo petrol engine, EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), Cold Air Intake, new Air Filter, new Air Intake Manifold, Cooled Exhaust with Resonator, Intercooler, recalibrated ECU, Stainless Steel Oil Catch Can, Rebuilt Gearbox with Japanese Bearing, new Clutch, new Display for Oil and Water Temperatures, Pressures and other essential parameters, Iridium Plugs, Custom Body Kit, LED Lights, a new Paint Job and more.

This is a prime example of how cars could perform well despite the modifications if professionals do the job. It was built back in 2013, a decade ago. It has already clocked over 1.2 lakh kms which is quite impressive. Being a lightweight car with a custom engine means that it has a power-to-weight ratio of a Honda Civic Type-R. That shows just how incredible these customizations are. That is why it could easily be compared to cars like the Skoda Kushaq with a large 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine.

What We Think

We don’t need to mention that car modifications are illegal in India. Our laws prevent us from changing the original configuration of any car from its stock settings. That is the reason why the Police challan so many vehicles on the road every day. If you don’t wish to get entangled in such scenarios, make sure to only go for those modifications that are permitted. For that, you must visit your nearest RTO. The officials will inform you about which customizations are legal. Moreover, you could even get these registered in the RC of your car to make them legal in case the cops catch you later on.
