Maruti Fronx vs Baleno Specs Prices Comparison

Maruti Suzuki has been on a launching spree in the last few months and has introduced some interesting new products along with facelifts of the existing ones.

Here is a detailed comparison between the Maruti Baleno Zeta vs Fronx Delta. The reason behind this is the fact that these two variants are almost similarly priced with a difference of just Rs 5,000. Baleno Zeta costs Rs 8.38 lakh, while the Fronx Delta costs Rs 8.33 lakh, both prices ex-showroom. That gives the buyers the option to go for either of these as per their requirements. While both these have identical powertrains, there are differences in terms of design, storage and features. Here are the details.

On the outside, the two products are distinct in their appearance. The Baleno has LED headlamps with tri-module LED DRLs, a chrome strip on the grille, a sporty bumper, chrome inserts on the side of the bumper and a large Suzuki logo in the middle of the grille. Down the sides, there are premium elements like chrome door handles, chrome frames around the windows, 16-inch alloy wheels, and body-coloured ORVMs. Finally, the tail section is dominated by a meaty chrome slab on the boot lid, C-shaped LED taillamps with a wraparound pattern, sporty bumper, rear wiper, washer, defogger, roof-mounted spoiler, reflector lights on the bumper and more.

On the other hand, the Fronx boasts a relatively modern design language that we have seen in the latest vehicles. This means that there is a split-LED pattern where the LED DRLs are positioned on the bonnet while the main headlamp cluster is mounted on the bumper below. In this variant, there are turn indicators on the bonnet and halogens on the bumper, there is a large grille, a sturdy skid plate and sporty bumpers lending a rugged appearance. On the sides, it also has 16-inch wheels but these are steel rims with wheel covers and not alloys, there is black cladding on the sides and no use of chrome. At the rear, the connected LED taillamps look neat and modern, there is a shark fin antenna, roof-mounted spoiler, rear defogger, skid plate, etc. In essence, the appearances are subjective and you could choose for yourself.

Verdict

There are clear use cases for both these cars in these variants. If you are someone who wants the most value for your money, like your car to have a road presence and doesn’t necessarily want to be pampered by a lot of convenience features, you could certainly consider the Fronx. It is new and different and offers a crossover SUV looks. On the other hand, if premium features and boot space are at the top of your priority list, Maruti Baleno is the better option for you. In any case, you can’t go wrong with either of these.
