Maruti Grand Vitara Jumps Over Divider, Gets Stuck

Indian roads can be full of surprises and this Maruti Grand Vitara trying to jump a divider is a prime example of it. People often take shortcuts to save time. These can range from small things like crossing over the meridian to the other side of the road, or something substantial. In any case, safety must be prioritized. Grand Vitara enjoys decent success in our market on account of being a Maruti Suzuki product. This is the first time Maruti Suzuki has launched a production in the mid-size SUV segment. Let us glance at the details here.

Maruti Grand Vitara Tries to Jump Over Median

This post comes from belgaum360 and trending_in_belagavi on Instagram. The visuals capture a rather interesting incident. A maroon Maruti Grand Vitara SUV is seen stuck on a divider on the side of the road. The driver was trying to take a shortcut to join the main road. However, unable to judge the actual height of the median, he ends up hanging his SUV over it. He must have powered his way through initially to get the tyres over the divider, but the SUV soon bottomed out by losing traction. The wheels don’t have enough grip to move the SUV. It looks like the driver was coming out from the ground. The text in the video mentions that this is the Vaccine Depo Ground in Belgaum, Karnataka.

This incident could easily impact the mechanicals of the SUV. The components placed near the underbelly of the SUV could get physically damaged if the driver would’ve driven forcefully. Looking at the width of this median, a large section of the underbody of the SUV is in contact with the surface. We see people standing around the car. One of them could be the owner of the Grand Vitara. They must be thinking about a way to get the vehicle out of this tricky situation.

Our View

I must advise our readers to take driving and traffic regulations seriously. Indian roads have a rather bad reputation when it comes to following road rules and driving sense in general. This is a prime example of that practice. The driver must have been able to ascertain that his car wouldn’t be able to jump over the driver. There just isn’t enough ground clearance. But he/she clearly didn’t know that which is why they attempted this bizarre stunt. We can only hope that the damage to the vehicle is not too severe. Also, please don’t imitate such actions.
