Maruti’s new offering is the S-Presso mini SUV, which is the first time for the manufacturer. Drawing similarities from the Alto, WagonR and the Brezza, it is a mildly tall-boy hatchback with the feeling of an SUV.
The Maruti S-Presso is wedged between the Alto K10 and the WagonR, in terms of sizes as well as the price. At an asking price of Rs 3.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), it just slightly costlier than the Alto. Here is the variant-wise price list:
As mentioned above, the S-Presso comes in total 7 trims, and the lineup is the same as that of Alto. Maruti does not offer ZXi on the Alto and WagonR, and the top-spec variant is the VXi or VXi+.
Maruti S-Presso comes with the same feature list that comes on the Maruti WagonR. Here, are the features as follows:
Talking about the engine specifications, it gets the 1.0 Litre K10B petrol engine, which is now BS-6 compliant. The engine produces 67 BHP at 5500 RPM and 90 Nm of torque at 3500 RPM. A 5-speed MT and Maruti’s AGS are offered as transmission options. The mileage of the car is 21.7 kmpl, claimed.
|Kerb Weight||726-767 kgs|
As seen, it is bigger than the Alto K10, but a bit smaller than the Renault Kwid. Also, the S-Presso is heavier than the Kwid but lighter than the Alto K10. It is built on the new HEARTECT platform, which makes the car lighter and stronger.
The S-Presso will be available in six colour options – Solid Sizzle Orange, Pearl Starry Blue, Superior White, Solid Fire Red, Metallic Granite Grey and Metallic Silky Silver.
