As suggested by the reports, Maruti is going to launch the Ertiga Cross in India next month and now, the spy shots confirm that it will be named as XL6.
Maruti is going to launch a new MPV in India on 21st of August. The Ertiga Cross has been speculated to come to India for a long time after it was showcased at the Indonesian Motor Show last year.
Now, Gaadiwaadi has leaked the rear spy shots of the upcoming Maruti Ertiga Cross, which has been named as XL6. It looks like it is based on the regular Ertiga but gets a new name and some cosmetic upgrades on the outside.
Maruti XL6 (Ertiga Cross) confirms that it will be a 6-seater MPV. So, you get the 2-2-2 layout with individual captain seats on all the rows. The regular Ertiga comes with a 3-seater row at the back.

On the exterior, you get the body cladding around the skirts, wheel arches and the bumpers. The alloy wheels remain the same, but they get a blacked-out treatment. Further, it has been spotted with a ‘Nexa’ sticker and in the Nexa Blue colour.
Completing the Cross look, you have the silver brushed aluminium skid plate and the roof rails. The front portion gets a whole new layout with sleek LED position lamps below the bigger LED headlamps. The front fascia is completely new with the Suzuki logo placed in between with the new two-slat grille.
Inside the cabin, we can expect an all-black dashboard treatment with contrasting seat upholstery. Some features are also expected to come on this XL6, so as to make it premium to the regular Ertiga.

Under the hood, you can expect the new 1.5 Litre petrol engine with the SHVS mild-hybrid system. The engine produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. The gearbox options might include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT.
The prices of Ertiga go up to Rs 11.21 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The Maruti XL6 (Ertiga Cross) is likely to come in a single top-spec variant, which is expected to be priced around Rs 12-12.5 Lakhs. The price range brings it closed to the Mahindra Marazzo and Renault Lodgy.
