Mercedes finally brings in the AMG A35 Limousine and GLA at the Auto Expo 2020. The entry-level sedan from Benz will be launched by June this year.

Mercedes has bought in the new AMG A35 A-Class limousine at the Auto Expo 2020. It is the most affordable sedan from the manufacturer and also the smallest one. The bookings for the sedan has commenced across dealerships.

Mercedes AMG A35 A-Class will be launched by June 2020 with an estimated price of around Rs 40 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). We get the AMG variant, which sits below the current entry-level AMG C43 sedan.

AMG A35 is powered by a 2.0 Litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol motor. The motor produces 306 BHP and 400 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. It further gets an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration under Mercedes’s 4MATIC name.

Along with that, Mercedes has also unveiled the new GLA for the Indian market. The bookings for that have also commenced now and it will be priced around Rs 43 Lakhs. The new GLA will debut in India by October 2020.

Mercedes has given the new GLA smoother surfacing this time around with rugged elements making for the details of the new model. It gets plastic cladding around the wheel arches and bumpers. The wheel arches themselves are larger and can now house up to 20-inch wheels.

The new GLA is 4,410mm long, 2,020mm wide and 1,611mm high, making it 15mm shorter and 2mm narrower but 10mm higher than the old model. Along with this, the cabin also receives a complete makeover, which now goes along with new Mercedes models.

Mercedes AMG A35 will compete with the likes of Audi A3. As for the GLA, it goes against Audi Q3, BMW X1 and Volvo XC40. Soon, Audi Q3 will lose its diesel engine and XC40 is already a petrol-only SUV.
