Mercedes AMG E 63 S, the most powerful E-Class, has been launched in India. The classy and powerful sedan starts at Rs 1.5 Crore (ex-showroom) and takes the title of the ‘quickest car in the AMG lineup’. It runs on a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 612 BHP worth power.
The new Mercedes AMG E 63 S, is a beast and is the most powerful saloon of Mercedes. With its Turbo V8 engine, it records 0-100 KMPH in just 3.4 seconds! Prety fast, right? It comes with a 4+ MATIC drive system that offers variable torque distribution in the front and rear axle. The saloon is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT (Multi-Clutch Technology) nine-speed sports transmission, which comes with a wet start-off clutch. The new E 63 gets a lot of upgrades from its previous generation. Mercedes AMG E 63 S comes with a price tag of Rs 1.5 Crore (ex-showroom).

The V8 engine produces 612 BHP worth power and 850 Nm worth torque. The car claims to touch a top speed of 250 Km/hr, which the car’s system limits electronically.ย The AMG Performance 4MATIC+ comes with a variable all-wheel drive along with drift mode. Unusual to hear an AMG saloon coming with drift mode. Anyhow, Mercedesย AMG E 63 S gets different drive programs which include a “Race” drive program. In the SPORT, SPORT PLUS or RACE drive programs, all the driver has to do is press the brake pedal forcefully with their left foot and simultaneously fully depress the accelerator pedal with their right foot. Also, the steering wheel of the car is a speed-sensitive steering. The system is so cool, you would want to take it to a racetrack immediately.

In terms of safety, it gets an active brake assist,ย proximity warning,
collision warning, situation-dependent braking assistance and autonomous braking
function. Other safety features include 7 airbags,ย Multibeam Intelligent Light System
with cornering function andย Adaptive High Beam with automatic switching between high and low beam. It gives you a racer feel with proper safety measures. It should be fun to drive.
