In just 8 months of its launch, more than 50,000 bookings were garnered for Hector. Till now, more than 30,000 units have been sold and still, the demand is high. The waiting period, initially, was more than 2-3 months which is still at least 20 days or a month. Since July 2019 to the last month, Hector has managed to hold on the best selling mid size SUV.

Hector goes against the likes of Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass. With its wide price range, it also competes against the likes of Kia Seltos and new Hyundai Creta. The prices of Hector commence at Rs 12.74 Lakhs going up to Rs 17.73 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The giant SUV comes packed with a lot of premium features like ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, vertical touch-screen infotainment system with MG internet car technology, remote car lock/unlock, voice assist, electrically operated front seats, dual-zone climate control, rain sensing wipers, digital instrument cluster and much more.

Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, disc brake for all four wheels, VSA, traction control, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and much more. Rivals of the Hector do not offer a lot of features that come on Hector, making it a total VFM product.

The 7-seater version will continue with the same engine and gearbox options.
