MV Agusta F3 800 RC Launched in India at a Price of Rs. 21.99 lakhs

Only six units of the MV Agusta F3 800 RC has been allotted for India. It gets a ‘Racing Kit’ with MV Agusta racing livery and it looks sensational.

An MV Agusta is already an exceptionally rare breed of motorcycle and then if there’s a limited edition, track-only motorcycle, exclusivity does not get more sensational than that. If the MV Agusta F3 800 wasn’t enough for you, then there’s a new MV Agusta launched in the country called the F3 800 RC, a track-only variant of the standard F3 800.

So what’s new with F3 800 RC you ask? Well, for starters, the RC stands for Reparto Corse and it gets a full ‘Racing kit’ which includes a special ECU, an SC Project exhaust and mirror caps, brake/clutch levers, footpegs made of aluminium, all of which decreases the weight of this already light bike from 173 kg to 165 kg.

The MV Agusta F3 800 RC uses the same 798 cc in-line 3-cylinder engine which pumps out 151 horses at 13,250 rpm and peak torque of 88 Nm, which comes in at 10,600 rpm. power is up by 5 bhp from the standard F3 800. The claimed top-speed is 240 kmph. The F3 800 RC also gets a host of electronic rider aids such as four riding modes, 8-step traction control and Bosch ABS with rear wheel lift mitigation. Also, you get a fibre-glass rear seat cowl, a paddock stand and a bike cover free of cost when purchasing this monster.

The braking duties are carried on by the same Brembo monobloc 4-piston callipers up front and a Brembo two-piston calliper at the rear, as in the standard F3 800. Even the suspension setup stays similar to the standard bike which are 43 mm Marzocchi USDs up front along with a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear.

The motorcycle comes painted in Italian tricolor along with some MV Agusta’s racing livery. The red alloy wheels complete the look and boy, does it look sensational, waiting to be screaming at a track. How much for all this you ask? The MV Agusta F3 800 RC has been priced at Rs. 21.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, India) and only six units of this limited edition motorcycle have been allocated for India. Well, you can’t complain about the price with that level of exclusivity. If you can’t afford it, what you can do instead is admire the motorcycle for what it is.
