New Bajaj 100-125cc Motorcycles Coming This Year

In a recent report, Bajaj Auto has confirmed that it will launch a couple of new models in the entry-level motorcycle segment, to strengthen its market share.

Currently, Bajaj Auto has a 17% market share in the entry-level motorcycle segment, while Hero Motocorp alone has nearly 71% share here. To further increase its share here, the manufacturer is planning something.

Reports suggest that Chakan-based two-wheeler brand is gearing up for 3-4 launches in the 100-125cc motorcycle segment. It has more launches planned for this year, which include the Husqvarna motorcycles.

Platina and CT100 are the most affordable motorcycles from Bajaj, which recently saw a minor price hike due to the inclusion of CBS. However, they are still cheaper than many of their competitors.

Many reports further state that Platina and CT100 will receive a much needed update by this festive season. This could include some styling bits, features revision and possible inclusion of a BS-6 engine.

Bajaj recently launched the new Avenger 160 ABS and the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400. The Avenger uses a smaller but better 160cc engine, which replaces the ageing 180cc engine.

Bajaj Dominar got a big overhaul in terms of better performance, increased power figures, new feature additions and new Upside-Down suspension forks at the front.

In the last year, the market share of the manufacturer in the entry-level segment has increased by 6%. Whereas, the sports segment grew by 5%, which broadly includes the Pulsar range.

The Pulsar series including many best-selling motorcycles in India, making it the most popular brand in its segment. For instance, the Pulsar 150 alone manages to make more than 50,000 units every month.

The manufacturer is also planning to launch Husqvarna Motorcycles in India, by this festive season. It will see the introduction of two new motorcycles – Vitpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401.

Husqvarna is a Swedish dirt bike manufacturer, which will use KTM’s 373cc engine for its two upcoming motorcycles. By the way, KTM also owns a part in the Swedish brand.
