2024 Maruti Swift Mileage

The new generation Maruti Swift has been detailed in this walkaround video and the claimed mileage figures are in the vicinity of 35 km/l. Due to its remarkable popularity, the Swift has been among the most successful and highest-selling cars in the country for years now. In the meantime, Maruti Suzuki has consistently updated this vehicle to keep it competitive in the market. As the third-generation Swift is starting to show its age, the manufacturer is currently hard at work preparing the next-generation model. This model is on display at the ongoing Tokyo Auto Show. Let us take a look at the details of this upcoming Swift.

New Maruti Swift Mileage

This video comes from Gaadiwaadi.com. The biggest talking point of the new Swift is its new powertrain. Maruti Suzuki will move away from its familiar and mega-successful K Series engine. The new Swift will have a Z Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine this time around. While there are no official figures, the hybrid version of this engine might be able to churn out a mileage of a jaw-dropping 35 km/l. We shall have to see if Swift gets this engine in the Indian-spec model too. The fact that mileage is one of the biggest concerns for a whole bunch of populace in India, the upcoming Swift already looks like a winner. Apart from that, this new engine would generate around similar power figures, but the torque could be significantly higher. It will ensure enthusiastic driving dynamics.

Design

In terms of the exterior design, there is still a lot of inspiration from the existing model. Sure, there are a ton of new minor tweaks to the bonnet, grille, headlamp cluster and bumper at the front, but the overall appearance remains, more or less, the same. That is not necessarily a bad thing considering the current model looks quite smart. One prominent change is the front camera and radar. It could mean that the next-gen Swift could get a 360-degree camera and some level of ADAS functions. If that is true, it would become the first car in the segment to offer that. Similarly, the side and rear sections largely resemble the existing silhouette.

Interior and Features

Moving to the inside, the new Swift would instantly remind you of the Baleno premium hatchback currently on sale in India. There is a free-standing touchscreen infotainment display, a new dashboard layout, new HVAC controls, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a part-digital instrument cluster, an electronic parking brake, three headrests at the rear, and much more. We will have to wait to see which of these new features make it to the Indian model. We might be able to see the new Swift sometime in early 2024.
