The Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric SUV is expected to debut next year. Now, a render of the production-spec model has surfaced online.
The eVX concept was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo in India. Now, Suzuki is ready to unveil an evolved version at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The production-ready Maruti Suzuki eVX is expected to make a global debut late next year alongside a Toyota sibling. Both electric SUVs are expected to be underpinned by Toyota’s 27PL platform. Now, a digital render of the upcoming SUV has surfaced online which offers a good look at the design. Let’s take a closer look.
Production-Spec Maruti Suzuki eVX Rendering
As you can see in the image above, the production-ready Maruti Suzuki eVX features a shut-off grille (as seen in most EVs). The sleek LED headlamps are connected by a black horizontal slat that also features the Suzuki badge. You can see vertical air inlets on either side of the bumper. The company has added a lower grille with hexagonal inserts and a sliver skid plate. Also, the LED Daytime Running Lights are integrated into the headlamp cluster.
On the back, the Maruti Suzuki eVX render retains the tail lamp design from the concept model unveiled earlier. However, the horizontal reflectors and skid plate are in a slightly upright manner. There is a bold eVX lettering in the middle of the sculpted tailgate. In terms of dimensions, the new model is similar to most models in the midsize SUV segment. It has an overall length of 4.3m, a width of 1.8m, and a height of 1.6m.
Overall, the upcoming car features a modern look, thanks to contemporary SUV design elements. This includes pronounced wheel arches with black cladding, a slightly sloping roofline with sturdy roof rails, and a curvy bonnet with creases. On the side, you can spot turn indicators on wing mirrors, body-coloured door handles, machined wheels, and thick black lower door trim with silver inserts. The black-finished pillars and windshield offer it a two-tone appearance.

The upcoming production model will be backed by a 60 kWh battery pack. It is expected to offer a claimed driving range of over 550 km on a single charge. The company will offer it in two options globally – single- and dual-motor. The production-ready Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric SUV will compete against the likes of Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra XUV.e8, Kia Seltos EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
