New Mahindra Thar Waiting Period

Reports suggest that the new Mahindra Thar will get Adventure series kit which will give some off-roading accessories for your car. Check them out!

The launch of new Mahindra Thar is just a couple of days away, on 2nd of October. That’s when the pricing will be revealed and the official bookings will commence. We have had a brief drive with the new Thar and have also done some hardcore off-roading with it. Check out both our videos of it on our Youtube channel!

A new report suggests that Mahindra will also offer accessories kit with the new Thar, one of which includes the Adventure Kit. It will then come into five categories which include Vehicle protection, Camping, GoPro Adventure Camera, Maintenance, and Apparel. We are not sure if you can buy all these together in a single pack or separately.

All these kits will include shovels, tailgate-mounted snack tray, sleeping bag, sleeping bed, tents, backpacks, Hero8, Hero7, tripod, sports kit, adventure kit, travel kit, tyre repair kit, digital tyre gauge and much more. You can probably buy this individually as well, as per the categories and likely as a complete package too.

If Mahindra is selling the Adventure series kit as a whole then you might have to shell easily around Rs 2 Lakhs in total. Other accessories that will come integrated onboard will include chrome kit, alloy wheels, DRLs, front fog lamps, magnetic sunshade, audio system, remote lock key, front and rear mud protector and roof mounted speakers.

Thar will come in three trims LX, AX and AX(O). For the LX variants, you will not get the option of a petrol manual but everything else. For the AX and AX(O) variants, there will be no automatic gearbox on offer. The new Thar gets a 2.2 Litre diesel engine and a 2.0 Litre petrol engine, both of them mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
